PHILOSOPHY OF HISTORY: SPECIFICITY OF THE RESEARCH PRISM

Historical reality and eventuality are the subject of research efforts of several scientific disciplines at once – in particular, history as a sphere of scientific knowledge and social philosophy, which comprehends social realities in the entire set of determinative factors, one of which is considered to be the time parameter, the temporal component of the life of society. For the philosophy of history, historical reality and eventuality also form the epicenter of research efforts: on the one hand, the philosophy of history cannot but be in close connection with historical realities and epochal challenges; on the other hand, the philosophy of history in many aspects intersects with the subject area of social philosophy, since it forms an idea of the meanings and significance of historical events and trends in the context of specific historical and socio-cultural specifics. Under such conditions and circumstances, different interpretations of disciplinary competencies and competence naturally arise, namely: which research intentions belong to the powers of the philosophy of history, and which go beyond such powers and are highly likely doomed to ineffectiveness and profaneness of research results.
