SCIENTIFIC SCHOOLS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE INTELLECTUAL INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE UNIVERSITY

The article deals with the question about the role of scientific schools during formation and dynamics of intellectual infrastructure of the university. The definition of notions «scientific school», «intellectual infrastructure», «intellectual infrastructure of the university» are discussed. The factors and the ways of an influence of scientific schools activities upon a development of an intellectual infrastructure at the university are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the intensification of a discourse concerning theoretical and practical interaction of these two phenomena. The function of scientific schools in the university milieu, in particular in formation of educational programs, is under the focus. It is also about overcoming the negative consequences of academic inbreeding due to the successful operation of scientific schools. The unique role of scientific schools in attracting interested students for research, in approaching the practical needs of the educational process, in expanding the university's opportunities for cooperation outside its borders, including international cooperation, by the way the formation of socially oriented learning are discussed too.
