Abstract

In modern conditions, when distance learning is becoming more and more common due to technological changes and changes in the educational environment, it is important to consider what factors contribute to maintaining and increasing students’ motivation for active learning. Distance learning requires independence, organizational skills and internal motivation from students, as they are in different educational environments and do not always have access to direct support and communication with teachers and classmates. Therefore, effective methods of stimulating motivation become the key to the success of distance professional education. The quality of educational materials is the main factor influencing student motivation. They should be interesting, easy to understand and correspond to professional training as much as possible. If students find the material useful, interesting and practical, their motivation automatically increases. One of the ways to increase motivation during distance learning is the use of interactive methods. Web conferencing, online group discussions, virtual labs, and other interactive tools can make the learning process more engaging and effective by encouraging more active student participation. An organizational competitive environment can also have a positive effect on student motivation. Competitions, group projects and other forms of collective work contribute to increasing participants’ interest in learning and self-esteem. It is especially important to maintain a positive atmosphere and recognize students’ successes. Acknowledgments, certificates or awards for achievements can become an additional incentive for students and increase their motivation. Thus, motivating vocational training students during distance learning is a difficult but achievable goal. It is important to use a variety of methods and tools to inspire and maintain motivation, which contributes to quality and effective education in the digital environment.
