In this article, we intend to substantiate the opinion that graduates of the Faculty of Philosophy, philosophers are the best candidates for the position of top manager or project manager today. Taking into account the world’s globalization processes and trends, it is «universal» employees who are currently in demand in the business environment and management, because they have a wide range of relevant skills and abilities. Logical thinking, criticality, knowledge of ethics, psychology, the use of an analytical approach in working with information and a diplomatic approach to each specific situation are far from an inexhaustible circle of competences of a philosopher. The ability to analyze a problem, to calculate options for the development of events that minimize risks during the implementation of projects, acquired in the course of obtaining education for the business environment and management are invaluable. But for the most part, all those skills and skills of a philosopher, which are undervalued by our present, remain on the periphery of the labor market, because in our culture the practice of applying knowledge where it is useful and necessary is still not widespread. Our culture rests on the traditional idea of an acquired static specialty, which corresponds to a certain circle of professional profile. Such logic is somewhat backward in the context of global world processes, because the same European model of education is focused on global competences, which are used in those areas where they are useful. The reason for sadness is that the philosopher’s way of thinking, his flexibility, which allows us to adapt to any challenges not only in the business process and which remain neglected, deprive society of many opportunities for development.
