Abstract

The article examines approaches to education and personality formation based on worldview education. An analysis of some approaches of educational programs based on worldview development is presented. The analysis shows that each approach is aimed at influencing and developing a personal worldview through ontological beliefs. In this exploration, we come to understand that philosophical ideas, whether Aristotle’s virtue ethics or Kant’s deontological ethics, expressed through a dialogue between a teacher and a student, can lay the foundations for the formation of the values of a worldview. Also, we resort to substantiating the foundation on which worldview education is based (philosophical, religious, cultural aspects, etc.). The examples considered by us (Finnish, Australian model of education) aim to promote the development of a personal worldview, as they influence the formation of moral views derived from the constant application of theoretical aspects in the practice of life situations and events. Despite this, we draw attention to the fact that the formed personal experience plays a significant role in the integration of a person into social life.
