The close correlation between art and the symbolic sphere is beyond doubt: art that ignores symbolic tools is practically impossible, and symbols from all spheres of social life feel most comfortable in the environment of art. However, a number of questions remain unanswered – for example, how objective, natural and without alternative is this status quo? Are there limits to the interdependence of art and symbolic reality? And is such interaction always mutually beneficial? As we can see, in contrast to simplified stereotyping, in practice one has to deal with a wide range of probabilities, possibilities and ambivalence. And in order to formulate reasoned answers to theoretical and conceptual challenges, general phrases are not enough: deep philosophical reflection, multi-aspect comparative analysis, and the use of flexible interpretative models are needed. This path is quite difficult in a methodological and instrumental sense. But there is nothing you can do – this is precisely the requirement of generating scientific knowledge.
