Abstract

Consideration of this issue has important academic, psychological, and political significance. In any situation, and especially in the conditions of the war, which was unleashed against Ukraine by the former «elder brother» – the Russian aggressor, we – educators and scientists – must work, provide students with quality education, develop scientific research, strengthen international contacts with leading foreign universities, teachers, scientists, and most importantly – to explain to youth and students, as well as to society in general, the depth of the crime against Ukraine and humanity in general, which permeates the current policy of Russia. A careful consideration of the events taking place (unfolding) in the modern information field allows us to conclude that at their epicenter are questions of history, or rather, the philosophy of history, centered around the origins of the Ukrainian people, the essence of the culture created by them, the possibilities and directions of independent development of society and the state. Countering attempts to aggressively distort Ukrainian history and culture by the means of education, science and culture appears today as one of the primary tasks of the struggle for the consciousness of the Ukrainian people, which, in fact, is the central problem of future education, its philosophy and axiology.
