The article deals with the philosophical and anthropological foundations of the theory of parenting in Eastern (Japanese) and Western cultu ral traditions, which in essence are diametrically-opposite. The object of this study is the view of the classical theory of the development of children in Japanese and Western Eu ropean cultu ral traditions. The subject is the transformation and step-by-step approach of two ancient cultu ral traditions of the theory of the development of children into a similar and western model of cultu re. By the method of statistics, it is a test to compare two protracted cultu ral traditions, the theory of development of children is similar and zahidnu - in their logical process of socialization of a child, and a test to show their steps of rapprochement. In Eu ropean cultu ral traditions maximum freedom has only adult man. In Japanese cultu re absolute freedom has a person in early childhood (under the age of three). As a child get older he has got the bu rden of responsibility, which keeping him under norms of cult of shame. Only in old age, after 60 years, the Japanese retu rned to a state when he can shy of nothing. Thus childhood and old age for the Japanese – zones of «free territory».
